Boarding at Cozy Cattery

Below is some helpful information about boarding your cat at Cozy Cattery.  We welcome enquiries so feel free to contact us with your questions.

Click HERE for our Terms and Conditions

Vaccinations

  • All cats must have current vaccinations.

  • Any required booster shots must be completed at least 10 days prior to check-in.

  • Proof of vaccination can be provided at drop-off, emailed, or uploaded via our website.

  • If you are unable to meet vaccination requirements (e.g., vet’s advice or an emergency), please contact us — we may be able to provide temporary accommodation in an isolation unit.

Diet

  • We feed Science Diet Adult cat biscuits twice daily, with Whiskas mince wet food served in the evening.

  • We also offer a selection of popular dry and wet food brands for cats with different preferences.

  • To prevent digestive upsets, please advise us of your cat’s usual food when booking.

  • You are welcome to supply your own food; however, please note that no discount applies.

  • If your cat requires a prescription diet, please provide it along with clear written instructions.

  • Clean, fresh water is available at all times.

Health

  • If we have any concerns about your cat’s health, we will contact you immediately and arrange a veterinary consultation if needed.

  • Owners are responsible for any veterinary fees incurred during the stay.

  • Please ensure cats are up to date with flea and worm treatments before boarding.

  • If fleas, ticks, or worms are found, treatment will be carried out at the owner’s cost.

  • We can administer oral or topical medications at no extra charge; please provide clear written instructions and place all medications in a sealed bag labeled with your cat’s name.

  • Cats that need regular injections can only be accepted if they are established regular boarders at Cozy Cattery.

Care and Attention

  • We spend time getting to know each cat individually—this is our favourite part of the job.

  • Cats are given the option to enjoy supervised playtime outside their room if they enjoy this.

  • Cuddles and pats are an important part of the day, but if a cat prefers to be left alone, we respect their space.

  • Cats from different families are never allowed to mix.

Rooms

  • Individual private units, which can be shared by two cats from the same family on request.

  • Each unit includes both indoor and outdoor areas, with beds provided in both spaces.

  • Underfloor heating keeps cats cozy and warm in winter.

  • Doors can be opened on warm days to allow a fresh, cool breeze.

  • Litter boxes are kept separate from eating and drinking areas.

  • Units are equipped with sleeping shelves, beds, and toys.

What to bring

  • A small blanket, towel, or item of clothing your cat is familiar with.

  • Any small items to help your cat feel more comfortable, such as toys.

  • Prescription medication, clearly labeled with full written instructions.

  • Prescription food, clearly labeled with full written instructions.

  • Please ensure your cat arrives in a secure carry cage.

What not to bring

  • Electric or battery-operated items.

  • Large items such as cat posts.

  • Oversized beds or bulky bedding, as these can easily block the cat door and cause your cat unnecessary stress.

  • String, ribbon, beads, or anything that could pose a choking, injury, or strangulation risk.

  • Collars — if left on your cat, it is at your own risk.

  • Items that cannot be easily washed. Soiled items will be machine washed, so please avoid anything requiring special care.

Visiting

  • For the safety and security of all our guests, visits are not allowed during opening hours.
